Hey all π
Catch up my new painting “Winter Snowy Landscape”.
I’ve made this painting based on the artworks in youtube channel ‘Paint with David’ . I immediately fell in love with the scenery and decided to try it by myself, and this is the final result π
This painting doesn’t have too much colours. I’ve used Prussian blue and cobalt blue hues for foreground, background and house. Fire (crimson red colour) before the house is quite eye pleasing in the midst of blue hues all over. Finally the snow effect was given by spattering white paint with the brush.
I’m getting comfortable with water colours and shades, and I’m very thankful to youtube artists for introducing me to some good art techniques.
So, do you like my painting? Please share your opinions ! π
As I gaze on your painting it provides me with a wonderful calming breath. Thank you!

Oh how beautiful. I have painted with oils & acrylics. I will always prefer oils. I have tried watercolor. I just can’t get the hang of it.
I would buy this from you and frame it. I feel cold looking at it…that is how good it is.
Keep painting. Keep sharing! β€

Nah. The only thing on my blog is my photography. I haven’t painted in 20 years…most of which I gave to family. I do have two pieces. I may have to photograph and post…

This is really gorgeous, Iβm vaguely reminded of a childrenβs Christmas picture book, it has the wintry, cosy feel to it.

I love your painting! I too have learned to paint from watching Public Television. Bob Ross, Jerry Yarnell, Buck Palson, etc.

Thank you, you are too kind. I started really painting back in 2012. I get frustrated at times when it does not go the way I had planned, but I learn from my mistakes and I tend to go back and fix things on my painting after the fact!

Yes. ‘Getting frustrated’ happens initially for every artist. In fact, those times bring the best outcome in art. I can see such a maturity in your works.

Although my walls are totally full, I would make room for this great piece. Not only is it a beautiful painting, but I love winter!
